Cornell History: Women’s rights advocate Jennie T. Farley dies

Jennie T. Farley, Ph.D. ’70, professor of industrial and labor relations and co-founder of Cornell’s Women’s Studies Program, dies. She was widely known for her work on affirmative action, sexual discrimination and sexual harassment and for advancing the status of women workers. Cornell’s annual Jennie T. Farley Office Professionals Celebration, which recognizes the important role office professionals play on campus, is one of the largest workplace observances at Cornell.
