The replicant future

androids_coverCan't get enough of androids and their electric sheep?

The library is hosting multiple exhibitions supporting this year's pick for the New Student Reading Project: Philip K. Dick's classic science fiction novel, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"

Books and artifacts from Cornell University Library's Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections explore the history of the novel and the landmark film it inspired, "Blade Runner." Among the exhibition items are multiple editions of the book and Philip K. Dick's notes on the film adaptation, tracing the novel's early history and its translation to screen and pop immortality.

"Android Dreams: Philip K. Dick and Ridley Scott’s Replicant Future" will be on view until Oct. 8 in the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections, Carl A. Kroch Library, level 2B. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

An online version of the exhibition is also available.
