High marks on the ground, in the stars


 

Cornell ranks No. 3 in the world in agriculture and forestry, according to the 2013 QS World University Rankings by subject.

The university also rated No. 14 in physics and astronomy, No. 15 in environmental sciences and No. 16 in biological sciences.

Overall, Cornell was among the world’s top 200 institutions in 29 of the 30 subjects featured in this year’s rankings.

QS evaluated 2,858 universities, ranked 678 institutions, analyzed 68 million citations and verified 8,391 programs.
