Some Cornell Board of Trustees meetings are open to media or the public (details below). Tickets to the open sessions are available to the news media. Members of the media who plan to cover any of these events must RSVP to John Carberry in the Cornell Media Relations Office by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31 at (607) 255-6074 or email johncarberry@cornell.edu.

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell University Board of Trustees will have its regular fall semester meetings in Ithaca on Thursday, Nov. 1 and Friday, Nov. 2, 2018. Some sessions are open to the media, including the State of the University address by President Martha Pollack.

The following open sessions are scheduled during the Board of Trustees meetings:

Thursday, Nov. 1:

  • The Committee on University Relations will include a public session from 2 to 2:15 p.m. in the Amphitheater at the Statler Hotel.

Friday, Nov. 2:

  • President Martha Pollack will deliver the annual State of the University address at 9 a.m. in the Alice Statler Auditorium. The State of the University address will take place during the annual joint meeting of the Board of Trustees and University Council.
  • The Buildings and Properties Committee will hold a short open session for five minutes at the beginning of its meeting at 11 a.m. in the Carrier Ballroom of the Statler Hotel.
  • The Board of Trustees meeting includes a public session from 1 to 1:10 p.m. in Room 184, Myron Taylor Hall. A limited number of tickets for this open session of the full board meeting will be available to the public at 300 CCC Building, 235 Garden Avenue.
