Big Red swag bag: Entrepreneurship@CU's gift bag gathers samples from wide world of Cornell

The 300 people attending Entrepreneurship@Cornell's Celebration banquet dinner April 10 will receive a gift bag stuffed with about 30 sample products from companies founded by or created by Cornell alumni or connected with Cornell in some way.

"We were overwhelmed with the response from Cornell alums and entrepreneurs who had unique products to contribute to the gift bag," said Kathy Hovis, a writer/editor for E@C. A similar gift bag given out at last year's celebration featured only about 12 products.

The gift bag contents are "just a small example of all of Cornell's entrepreneurial endeavors," Hovis said. "Cornell's entrepreneurs are in everything from food and hospitality to the service industry and body care products. They are also founding Fortune 500 companies and cutting-edge high technology companies, with products that are changing the way we live -- but that don't fit easily into a gift bag," she said.
