Bring your cat to compete in contests or your child to participate in feline-related activities, adopt a cat or learn more about feline health at this year's Feline Follies, a charity cat show event slated for Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the atrium of the Veterinary Education Center at Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine.

Admission to the event is free, but funds raised from the bake sale, raffles and such children's activities as cookie decorating, face painting and cat toy making will be donated to the Cortland County SPCA. In addition to the cat show, you can sign up your cat to compete for best trick, longest tail and most beautiful eyes. All participating cats must be vaccinated for rabies and secured in a harness or carrier.

Veterinary students will give talks on such feline health topics as behavior, kitten care and nutrition, and cats will be available for adoption.

Feline Follies is sponsored by the Feline Club, Cornell Feline Health Center, Hill's, Iams, Purina, Precious Cat Litter, and the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly Finance Commission.
