Fulbrights take Cornellians from Honduras to New Zealand

The next Fulbright student competition deadline is Sept. 12, and the next Fulbright-Hays competition deadline is expected in October. To help students prepare applications, the Einaudi Center is organizing an informational meeting Aug. 28 at 4:30 p.m. in G08 Uris Hall. Twenty Cornell undergraduate and graduate students will travel abroad during the 2008-09 academic year through the Fulbright program, and another three students through Fulbright-Hays fellowships.

Sponsored by the U.S. State Department, the Fulbright program increases understanding between the United States and other countries through exchange of people, knowledge and skills. Fulbright-Hays doctoral dissertation research abroad awards, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, support six to 12 months of research in a foreign country.
