BOOM and Faculty Innovation in Teaching set for February and March

BOOM (Bits on Our Minds), the annual expo of student efforts and creativity in digital technology and applications, will take place Wednesday, March 4, in the Duffield Atrium. Displays and demonstrations will range from robots and video games to digital audio and computer graphics.

The Faculty Innovation in Teaching Program (FIT) will issue a call for proposals at the end of February. The program provides funding for innovative use of instructional technology. Previous projects have included a Web interface for foreign language practice, teaching programming with robots and using computer graphics to visualize molecular structure.
