Seminar slated to support workforce during challenging economic times

The current global economy has caused challenges for a number of organizations. A seminar, Supporting Our Workforce During Challenging Economic Times, slated for April 7, 2:30-4 p.m. in G10 Biotechnology Building, will provide an overview of the support programs that Cornell has developed for its faculty and staff. It also will introduce best practices for employers in helping their employees navigate flexible work arrangements, develop mental/emotional coping strategies and engage in financial checkups.

The seminar, offered by the Department of Labor Women's Bureau and Cornell's Office for Workforce Diversity, Equity and Life Quality, is geared to managers and supervisors, but is free and open to the public.

Advance registration, which is required, can be completed by faxing the form available at http://www.ohr.cornell.edu/workLife/Supporting_Workforce.pdf to 255-7481 by April 2.
