Cornell a top school for Hispanic engineering grad students

HispanicBusiness.com has ranked Cornell's College of Engineering No. 10 among best schools for Hispanic diversity of engineering graduate students. Each year, the media company measures and ranks the effectiveness of the nation's universities in attracting Hispanic students.

Cornell's ranking resulted from a 4.6 percent Hispanic graduate enrollment, and 4.3 percent of postgraduate degrees conferred on Hispanics. Hispanics make up 1.8 percent of the total faculty.

Forty universities, 10 in each degree area, were ranked by HispanicBusiness.com for Hispanic diversity according to these criteria: percent of Hispanic student enrollment; percent of Hispanic faculty members; percent of degrees conferred to Hispanics; and programs aimed at increasing enrollment of Hispanic students.
