Dyson again ranked No. 3 by Bloomberg Businessweek

For the third year in a row, the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management has been ranked No. 3 in the nation in Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2014 Ranking of Best Undergraduate Business Schools. Notre Dame (Mendoza) held the top ranking, followed by the University of Virginia (McIntire), which this year bested the Dyson School by less than 0.4 out of a total score of 100.

Businessweek noted that Dyson and McIntire are both undergraduate programs run separately from MBA programs, a distinction Christopher Barrett, Dyson’s director, sees as an important part of the undergraduate business experience. “Dyson students can take courses at Cornell’s Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, but they benefit from having a separate physical space of their own. Our undergrads aren’t living in the shadow of the MBA program,” he says.

Businessweek’s rankings of the 132 undergraduate programs included this year use nine measures of student satisfaction, employer satisfaction and academic quality. Dyson also ranked No. 3 in the student survey and A+ grades in teaching, facilities and job placement. The complete rankings of undergraduate business programs are posted on Bloomberg Businessweek.
