Medicare workshop to be offered in person and via Zoom

An introductory workshop on Medicare will be held Sept. 27, noon-1 p.m., at the East Hill Office Building, Room 140, or virtually by Zoom.

Medicare is a federally administered health insurance program that provides coverage to persons 65 and older, and persons under 65 who are disabled. Seniors, those caring for them and anyone interested in the topic are welcome to attend. The presentation will cover the different ways you can receive Medicare benefits and financial-assistance options that may be available to you. It will answer such questions as: What is covered under Part A and Part B? What is Medicare Advantage? How much does it cost? And what about pre-existing conditions? Are prescription drugs covered? Will I be able to choose my doctor?

The workshop is presented by Nicole Zulu, HIICAP Coordinator of Lifelong. A representative from Cornell Benefit Services will be on hand to answer any Cornell-specific questions.

Registration required. When you register, you will be asked if you prefer to attend in person or if you would like to be sent a link to attend remotely. Contact the Work/Life office if you have any questions or need additional information, email worklife@cornell.edu or phone 255-0388.
