Campus Wi-Fi networks to be upgraded
Campus Wi-Fi networks will be upgraded Saturday, June 16, between 4 a.m. and noon. During this time, users might not be able to access the eduroam, Cornell-Visitor or RedRover wireless networks.
After the upgrade is complete, when eduroam users next connect they will need to re-authenticate their connection once and accept the new “network-access.it.cornell.edu” certificate. Some eduroam users may experience a 60-second delay during the re-authentication process.
Cornell’s upgraded eduroam configuration will match standard eduroam requirements for all institutions, better allowing travelling Cornell users to connect to eduroam networks at more than 450 colleges and universities in the United States and thousands more around the world.
Visit IT@Cornell Wi-Fi for details on connecting to wireless networks while on campus. Users who experience issues connecting to campus Wi-Fi should contact the IT Service Desk.
