Alumni speakers to headline NYC energy conference Nov. 2

Experts will discuss the role energy startups, new investment strategies and impact investing will play in shaping the future of the energy industry at “Cornell Energy Connection: Investing to Impact Our Energy Future” Nov. 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Citi headquarters in Manhattan. The event is open to the public, but registration is required by Oct. 29.

Katherine Hamilton ’83, chair of 38 North Solutions, an energy consultancy, will give the keynote address. Other alumni speakers include Frank Nicklaus ’04, MBA ’12, principal at Greentech Capital Advisors; Swapnil Shah ’91, founder and CEO at FirstFuel Software; Bruce Schlein ’88 of Citi; Will Martin, MBA ’12, of Chevron; and Jeff Weiss ’79, of Distributed Sun. Other speakers come from Con Edison, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, and several startups.
