Share the Warmth

Cornell and Ithaca area communities can help people cope with cold weather by contributing new and gently used winterwear – particularly for children – and blankets to the 22nd Annual Share the Warmth campaign, running through Dec. 15. Share the Warmth is open to Cornell University and Ithaca College students, faculty and staff, as well as Ithaca-area residents. Winterwear including winter coats, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, snow boots, snow pants and other cold-weather articles can be dropped off at collection boxes located here:
Cornell: All undergraduate residence halls and community centers, all graduate housing service centers, Mann Library, Anabel Taylor Hall, East Hill Plaza, the College of Veterinary Medicine, Humphreys Service Building, Day Hall, Statler Hall, Weill Hall, Willard Straight Hall and Sage Chapel.
Ithaca College: Campus Center lobby.
Tompkins County: Agway, True Value Home Center; GreenStar; Island Health & Fitness; Kendal at Ithaca; P&C Fresh; Triphammer Marketplace; Wegmans; YMCA; Kinney Drugs, Dryden; Tompkins Trust Company, Trumansburg; Trumansburg Shur-save.
Donations from the Cornell campus will be collected through Campus Life and Cornell volunteers. Distribution takes place at the Samaritan Center of Catholic Charities Dec. 1-12, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Share the Warmth is sponsored by the Ithaca Rotary Club, which leads the annual drives, Trumansburg Rotary, Dryden Rotary, Ithaca College, Catholic Charities Tompkins/Tioga, Finger Lakes ReUse and Cornell University.
