GiveGab, a fundraising and engagement platform, helped nonprofits raise $52 million on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 27. GiveGab was founded in 2013 by CEO Charlie Mulligan, MBA ’11, and chief operating officer Aaron Godert, M.Eng. ’05, MBA ’11, who began collaborating on the idea as MBA students.

After raising $43 million on the national giving day in 2017, the company had high ambitions to help nonprofits outperform their previous records. On Giving Tuesday 2018, more than 3,550 nonprofit organizations across the United States collected more than 75,000 gifts, raising more than $52 million through Giving Day events and individual campaigns launched through GiveGab’s products.

A member of Rev: Ithaca Startup Works, GiveGab now has 45 employees and has partnered with thousands of organizations to raise $1.5 billion to date. Hunter Rawlings, Cornell president emeritus, is a member of its board of directors; the company is headquartered in Ithaca with a satellite office in Austin, Texas. Earlier in 2018, the company purchased Kimbia, one of its primary competitors.
