In the latest episode of “WORK! Exploring the Future of Work, Labor and Employment,” Dean Alex Colvin of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations chats with best-selling author and former Cornell lacrosse player Jon Gordon ’93 about the changing culture of today’s workplace.

The duo examines the characteristics common in great leaders, the traits shared by successful teams and how individuals can influence coworkers.

Gordon is the author of 20 books, including “The Energy Bus,” “The Carpenter,” “Training Camp,” “You Win in the Locker Room First,” “The Power of Positive Leadership” and “The Power of a Positive Team.”

His books and talks have drawn readers and audiences around the world, including Fortune 500 companies, professional and college sports teams, school districts, hospitals and nonprofits.

Gordon was a three-year letter winner with the Big Red men’s lacrosse team. His book “The Hard Hat” is based on the true story of George Boiardi ’04, who died after being struck in the chest with a lacrosse ball during a game March 17, 2004.
