ITHACA, N.Y. – As Cornellians and New York City leaders gather Sept. 13 on Roosevelt Island to dedicate the Cornell Tech campus, viewers on the Ithaca campus will watch the festivities live on CornellCast in the Physical Sciences Building and add their Big Red spirit to the celebration.

With five jumbo screens offering a prime viewing opportunity to faculty, students, staff and community members, the event begins at 10 a.m. in Baker Portico and Clark Atrium. The livestream from Roosevelt Island will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at approximately 11:45 a.m.

Food, drinks, T-shirts and a giant photo board with the iconic Roosevelt Island tram as a backdrop are planned for the celebration, designed to bridge Cornell’s campuses under the theme, “Upstate. Downstate. One Big Red.” The event is free and open to the public.

Panoramic views of the Cornell Tech campus are now online.

Cornell University has television, ISDN and dedicated Skype/Google+ Hangout studios available for media interviews.
