Henry Crans, a mainstay in facilities at Cornell for 50 years, retires on June 30. The College of Arts and Sciences will hold a drop-in retirement reception for Crans June 25, 1-4:30 p.m. in Klarman Atrium.
Last year, Procurement Services’ e-Business team hosted monthly e-SHOP workshops at various computer labs across the Ithaca campus. The workshops included a 20-minute overview of e-SHOP’s features and 40 minutes of dialogue and hands-on experience.
The Sustainable Cornell Council, announced Sept. 9, will direct and coordinate Cornell’s role as an international leader in addressing climate change and promoting sustainability. It replaces two previous sustainability groups.

David I. Grossvogel, the Goldwin Smith Professor of Comparative Literature and Romance Studies Emeritus and founder of the influential literary journal Diacritics, died June 14 at age 94. He taught at Cornell from 1960 to 2000.
