Cornell has announced four finalists in an invited architecture design competition for its College of Architecture, Art and Planning. The $25 million project is intended to provide new studio space and other related services and offices for the Department of Architecture.
The assistant professor of applied and engineering physics has received a three-year, $150,000 Young Investigator Award from the Army Research Office Materials Science Program. (June 17, 2010)
Events include a screening of “On the Basis of Sex” by Cornell Cinema, a free estate planning clinic, an exhibition of work by a student artist at the Seneca Place office building downtown, a panel discussion as part of the Cornell University Press sesquicentennial celebration, and a “Chats in the Stacks” book talk with English professor Daniel Schwarz.
Three undergraduates have received top prizes in the "My Cornell" writing and video contests held in honor of the university's sesquicentennial year. The winning essays and video will be showcased at the April 25 "Sights and Sounds” panel.

In 24 hours, 11,750 donors gave 15,807 gifts, raising $7,827,834 for the university’s colleges, units, departments and programs – the highest number of donors, gifts and dollars for one day in Cornell history.
