Recent gifts of comic art from two alumni have not only brought some laughter into the rare book vault at Cornell University Library but also some primary sources for scholars studying art and culture.
Mona Krewel, assistant professor of government at Cornell University, is an expert on elections and campaigning in Europe and author of the recently published book “Modernization of German Election Campaigns?” She says Emmanuel Macron will need more than a victory on Sunday’s elections to govern effectively.
On its first-ever Giving Day, March 25, the university received donations from more than 9,600 people totaling $6.97 million dollars. The gifts, mostly made online, came from people in every U.S. state and 52 countries on six continents.
