The university has done much more than just stay open, President Martha E. Pollack said Nov. 12 during her fifth annual address to staff, hosted by the Employee Assembly. Pollack offered special thanks to the Cornell University Police Department for its responses to recent events on campus.
Eight of Cornell’s graduate engineering fields, three computer science specialties and five other science areas were ranked in the top 10 in U.S. News and World Reports’ 2015 “Best Graduate Schools,” released March 11. Cornell Law School earned the top spot for its diverse student body.
On Monday, Thailand’s King Vajiralongkorn stripped his royal consort – Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi – of her official ranks for “repeated disobedience and attempts to of interference with royal affairs.” The palace order comes three months after Sineenat – rumored to be the king’s longtime mistress – was given the official title of royal consort.
