Beholden to butterfly behavior

Joe Wilensky/Cornell Chronicle

Marta del Campo (with net), a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Thomas Eisner's neurobiology and behavior lab in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), and Noelle Clarry '07, an independent study major in CALS, examine cabbage butterflies in Minns Garden in front of the Plant Science Building July 6. Clarry is conducting an independent research project, examining butterfly mating and courtship behavior. The butterflies don't seem to be bothered at all by the ongoing construction and related noise of the Life Sciences Technology Building just across the street, del Campo said.
