Cornell Cooperative Extension and National 4-H Week will be Oct. 6-13

Cornell Cooperative Extension and National 4-H Week will be celebrated Oct. 6-13 on the Cornell University campus. This year's theme is "Nutrition, Health and Safety."
Among the highlights:
- Ongoing -- "Ask the Nutrition Expert" at http://www.cce.cornell.edu will feature Cornell faculty members answering questions about their latest research in nutrition and adolescent development.
- Oct. 8 and 9 -- Gannett Health Center will offer free breast examinations. For an appointment, call (607) 255-5155.
- Oct. 9 -- "Office Ergonomics" will show what leads to repetitive strain symptoms and musculoskeletal pain that many computer users experience. The seminar will be led by Charles Curry, coordinator of Cornell's Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program. Noon, 170 Roberts Hall.
- Oct. 10 -- "Bicycle Safety Display" will highlight pedestrian and bicycle traffic safety issues with informal discussions led by Lois Chaplin, Cornell bicycle safety specialist. Noon, Ho Plaza.
- Oct. 12 -- "Premature Thelarche" will be a seminar presented by Suzanne Snedeker, from Cornell's Breast Cancer and Environmental Risk Factors program, on premature sexual development in young girls, which could have environmental links. Noon, in Room E119 of Martha Van Rensselaer Hall.
