Hillary Clinton to speak on women's leadership at Cornell March 10

First lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will address issues of women's leadership and her view of women leaders in the 21st century Friday, March 10, in a public lecture in Barton Hall on the Cornell University campus. She is a keynote speaker at the March 10-12 conference, "Cornell Women: Celebrating Leadership," sponsored by the President's Council of Cornell Women (PCCW), in honor of the alumnae group's 10th anniversary.

Free tickets have been distributed on campus and in the community and are no longer available.

The program, beginning at 4 p.m., will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable Channel 16. A live video feed also can be viewed in David L. Call Alumni Auditorium in Kennedy Hall.

People holding tickets are urged to arrive at Barton as early as possible before the program; doors open at 2:30 p.m. No one will be admitted to Barton after 4 p.m.

The public should enter Barton from the Garden Avenue (east) side. People with mobility-impairments should enter from that side, as well.

No one will be allowed to bring backpacks, briefcases or signs on sticks into Barton.

Normal campus parking restrictions will be in effect. Since parking on campus is limited, people are urged to take public transportation or car pool to the lecture. Special parking arrangements have been made beginning at 2 p.m. in the Morrison South parking lot, on the northeast corner of Campus and Judd Falls roads. An express shuttle will be available to take people from the parking lot to Barton Hall. Handicapped parking will be provided on the east side of Barton Hall on Garden Avenue
