President David J. Skorton will hold a town hall meeting for the campus community on university finances Monday, March 16, noon to 1 p.m., in Room G10 of the Biotechnology Building.
On Dec. 19, nearly 1,500 Cornell students celebrated their winter graduation in a virtual recognition ceremony viewed around the world – the first such event at Cornell, and a fitting end to what President Martha E. Pollack called “a semester like no other at Cornell.”
G. Peter Lepage, the Goldwin Smith Professor of Physics, and Thomas Pepinsky, professor of government, have received two of Cornell’s highest honors for faculty members.
Pine Tree Road between Maple Avenue and Route 366 will be closed to all traffic from June 13 to Aug. 18. Remaining work will be completed by Sept. 30 and the project will finish by early November.
Steve Hindy ’71, MAT ’73, Cornell's 2020 Entrepreneur of the Year, shared stories about his career as the co-founder of Brooklyn Brewery during “Beer and Business,” a virtual discussion and beer tasting hosted May 19 by Entrepreneurship at Cornell.
Faculty and alumni from the early days of the program are remembering the barriers they hurdled and the support they received. A series of events are planned for the year.
Winning plays and screenplays from the annual Heermans-McCalmon Writing Competition will be featured in presentations and staged readings March 23 at the Schwartz Center.
