Students and lifelong learners are invited to explore a new interest, enhance their resume or strengthen their professional skills through Cornell’s Fall Part-Time Study Program, which runs Aug. 22 – Dec. 17, 2022. Registration for most students begins August 1.
The hackathons, run by Entrepreneurship at Cornell, are open to undergraduate and graduate students from any field and major and take place from Friday evenings through Sunday afternoon.
Doctoral candidates Julia Nolte and Ewan Robinson are the 2022-23 recipients of the Cornelia Ye Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. The award recognizes two outstanding graduate teaching assistants (TAs), one domestic and one international, who have clearly demonstrated dedication and excellence in their teaching responsibilities.
Maureen Waller, a professor in the Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy and the Department of Sociology, will study racial and economic disparities in driver’s license suspensions through her selection as Access to Justice Scholar. Waller will examine people’s lived experiences with having a suspended license as well as recent and potential reforms in New York to end “debt-based” suspensions.
