Richard Leed, professor of linguistics at Cornell for more than 50 years, died at his home in Ithaca Dec. 5 at age 82. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Dec. 9, at Ithaca's Unitarian Church. (Dec. 7, 2011)
