The membership of United Auto Workers Local 2300, which represents more than 1,100 Cornell service and maintenance employees on the university's main campus in Ithaca, has ratified a new, five-year agreement with the university.
A special Employee Assembly election will be held to fill three vacant seats. Anyone interested in running for one of those seats needs to apply by Oct. 15.

The second Community Engagement Staff Institute on Jan. 7 drew 70 staff members from across campus to discuss their engagement work with students and ways to strengthen community partnerships.
Gannett Health Services is opening its new addition, with a temporary main entrance on Campus Road. Services will be provided in the new facility while the original 60-year-old building undergoes renovation.
