Student and Campus Life showcases services
By Nancy Doolittle
About 200 staff from the Division of Student and Campus Life attended a poster session highlighting the services and contributions of such units as the Cornell Fitness Centers, Residential and Event Services, Cornell Dining, Public Service Center, Cornell Health and Cornell Career Services.
The Office of the Judicial Administrator and career services offices in the colleges also participated in the event, held Aug. 9 in Baker Atrium, Physical Sciences Building.
“We wanted to celebrate our work together,” said Leslie Meyerhoff, director of assessment and planning for Student and Campus Life, who helped organize the event. “The showcase also gave us an opportunity to learn about each other’s work and to show how our own work aligns with the division’s values. One of these is ‘fun.’”
The division’s other values are innovation, excellence, collaboration, inclusivity, empowerment and integrity.
In addition to highlighting the units in Student and Campus Life, the 54 posters on display provided information on such topics as engaged leadership, enacting inclusion practices in exclusive spaces, supporting undocumented students, landing a job, and loss and grief in college.
