Funding for peace studies students available

Several sources of aid are available to students in the Cornell Peace Studies Program. To apply see http://www.einaudi.cornell.edu/PeaceProgram/:

  • Elaine Scott Travel Fund awards ($300-$500): Applicants must be enrolled in a Cornell Ph.D. program; travel must be completed by June 30, 2011. Deadline to apply: Feb. 26.
  • Graduate fellowships in Peace Studies: pays for tuition, a stipend and health insurance for Cornell Ph.D. students researching security, conflict or collective violence for the 2010-11 academic year. Awarded by the Peace Studies Program. Deadline to apply: March 12.
  • 26th Annual Harrop and Ruth Freeman Prize in Peace Studies: $2,500 to encourage Cornell undergraduates to pursue work or study in fields related to peace studies and conflict resolution. Deadline to apply: March 12.
  • Harrop and Ruth Freeman Fellowship: $1,200 per month for up to two months to encourage undergraduates to pursue unpaid summer 2010 work in peace studies at a nonprofit organization. Deadline to apply: April 15.
