Shaoyi Jiang, Ph.D. ’93, has been named the first Robert S. Langer ’70 Family and Friends Professor at Cornell. Jiang’s wife, Qiuming Yu, Ph.D. ’95, also will join the Cornell faculty.
As of Dec. 16, calls placed from Cornell phones to off-campus numbers will display the Cornell phone number in caller ID. This change supports the university’s new 911 system, launching Jan. 8, 2018, to provide location information in emergencies.
