A $20 million gift from the Milstein family will launch the new Milstein Program in Technology and Humanity, a collaboration between the College of Arts and Sciences and Cornell Tech that will pioneer a new approach to liberal arts education for the digital age. It is the first undergraduate program to link the Ithaca and Roosevelt Island campuses.

George Lowery, the Cornell Chronicle’s managing editor, whose sharp pen, affable personality and spirited laugh became the heart of the busy news organization, died Dec. 10 in Ithaca. He was 60 years old.
Cornell has a long-standing commitment to help lead the fight against climate change, and on April 2 it became a founding member of the International Universities Climate Alliance.
