Six new members to the Cornell University Board of Trustees were recently elected, each with four-year terms beginning July 1.

The board elected four trustees: Gary S. Davis '76, Peggy J. Koenig '78, Lowell C. McAdam '76 and Barbara G. Novick '82. The university's alumni elected two trustees: William H. McAleer '73, MBA '75, and Meredith A. Rosenberg '92.

Davis is CEO of DKR Capital Partners, an investment advisory firm engaged primarily in hedge fund and private equity markets. He is the Cornell Class of 1976 president and chaired two of his class's most recent campaign committees. He is also a member of the Cornell University Council (2008-12), having also served 2002-06 and is a member of several Cornell advisory committees and fundraising committees. Davis serves on the board's Investment Committee and chairs its Hedge Fund Subcommittee as a non-trustee adviser; he'll continue as a trustee member July 1. Davis lives in Greenwich, Conn.

Koenig, of Weston, Mass., is co-CEO and managing partner of ABRY Partners, a private equity firm she joined in 1993. She is a member of the Cornell University Council (2009-13), the Cornell University Council on Career Advising (2010-11), the Advisory Board to the Department of Communications (2009-14) and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Advisory Council (2010-13). She previously served on the President's Council of Cornell Women (2006-10) and the Class of 1978 30th Reunion Major Gifts Committee (2007-08).

McAdam has been a member the College of Engineering Advisory Council since 2008. He is chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications. Earlier, McAdam was president and CEO of PrimeCo Personal Communications, a joint venture owned by Bell Atlantic and Vodafone AirTouch. He has also served as vice president for international operations for AirTouch Communications and has held various executive positions with Pacific Bell. McAdam is past chairman of the board of directors of the CTIA, the wireless industry trade association. He lives in Mendham, N.J.

Novick is vice chairman of BlackRock, an asset management firm that manages $3.5 trillion for clients around the world. Prior to founding BlackRock in 1988, she was a vice president of The First Boston Corp. She serves on the Cornell University Council for a term that began in 2011. Novick regularly guest lectures in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management and in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. She lives in Mamaroneck, N.Y.

McAleer is the managing director and co-founder of Voyager Capital, a venture capital firm focused on early stage technology companies. McAleer has served on the Cornell University Council (2005-09) and its Technology Transfer, Arts and International Programs committees. He is a member of the advisory councils of Johnson and of Entrepreneurship@Cornell. He was also former president of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Cornell Hotel Society and officer in the Cornell Club of Washington. He lives in Seattle.

Rosenberg, of Boston, is vice president of the Class of 1992 (2007-12) and co-chair of the Class of 1992 Reunion Campaign. She serves on the President's Council of Cornell Women (2009-13) and is a member of its Steering Committee and vice chair of its Development Committee. She previously served on the Cornell University Council (2007-11). Rosenberg is a senior vice president at Fullbridge Inc., which delivers online business training to university students, new graduates and new employees at corporate clients.

The board also re-elected Richard L. Booth '82; David R. Fischell '75, M.S. '78, Ph.D. '80; Denis Hughes; Peter J. Nolan '80, MBA '82; Donald C. Opatrny '74; and Barton J. Winokur '61 for four-year terms beginning July 1.
