Vice President for Human Resources and Safety Services Mary Opperman issued the following message Jan. 26:

This morning we tragically lost a member of our Cornell family, Angela Stedwell, who died after being struck by a TCAT bus. Angela was a staff member in the College of Human Ecology. There is an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

I offer my deepest sympathy to Angela’s family, friends and co-workers, who could not have prepared for their sudden loss. I ask all of you to keep Angela in your thoughts.

This is a difficult time for our community. Please take advantage of the resources available through Faculty and Staff Assistance Program and Gannett Health Services.
