The Statler Hotel has received the AAA Four Diamond Award for the fifth year in a row. The Statler is one of 14 lodging establishments in central and western New York to receive the honor and is the only hotel in Ithaca to win it.

The AAA Four Diamond Award recognizes upscale establishments that offer an extensive array of amenities and high scores for hospitality, service and attention to detail. Fewer than four percent of 59,000 AAA-rated lodging and dining establishments in North America earn the award.

“We are afforded a unique and compelling opportunity to operate our innovative hotel, in partnership with the School of Hotel Administration (SHA), in the center of the Cornell University campus,” said Rick Adie ’75, Statler general manager. “This award validates the tireless efforts on the part of the entire Statler team to make the most of that opportunity. I am immensely proud of all our students and staff for consistently working to ensure an incomparable guest experience.”

The Statler is a teaching hotel where SHA students apply classroom learning to practical experience. More than 200 student employees work alongside seasoned professionals across all hotel and restaurant operations.
