VP Lombardi issues condolences on death of MBA student
Vice President for Student and Campus Life Ryan Lombardi issued the following statement Nov. 30:
It is with deep sadness that I share news of the death of Jason Thomas, a member of the MBA Class of ’18 in the Johnson School who passed away last night at his home. He was a talented member of his first-year class at Johnson and participated in several clubs, including serving as an officer of the Swim, Bike, & Run Club.
Jason was an active member of Johnson’s Association of Veterans (AoV). The Johnson Student Council and the AoV have established a GoFundMe page to provide support for Jason’s wife, Meaghan, and their two children. Also welcome are donations of food or child care services. Please contact Theresa Leidig at theresa.leidig@gmail.com for more information.
An open gathering will be held in the Sage Atrium on Thursday, December 1, from 5-6:30 p.m. for members of the Cornell community to assemble and support one another. There will be a moment of silence for Jason at 5:15 p.m.
On behalf of the entire university community, I want to extend my deepest condolences to Jason’s family, colleagues, and friends. I ask all of you to keep Jason and his family in your thoughts as we mourn this loss in our Cornell family.
