Sonia Sotomayor, associate justice of the United States Supreme Court, will participate in a “fireside chat” in Bailey Hall at noon Oct. 18.

Eduardo Peñalver ’94, the Allan R. Tessler Dean and professor of law at Cornell Law School, will host a conversation between Sotomayor and Judge Richard C. Wesley, J.D. ’74, U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

The event is open to the Cornell community. Required tickets (one per person with valid Cornell ID) are free and will be available starting Oct. 4 at the Willard Straight Hall Resource Center, off the main lobby. The Resource Center hours are Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; it is closed Sundays and during fall break, Oct. 5-9.

The event will not be livestreamed or recorded. It is presented by Cornell Law School and the Office of the President.
