Cornell Greenhouse Management Conference is set for Nov. 9-10 at the Holiday Inn, Batavia, N.Y.

Cornell will host the "2000 Greenhouse Management Conference: Grow Your Greenhouse" conference Nov. 9 and 10 at the Holiday Inn, Batavia, N.Y.

The conference is being held in conjunction with the Country Folks Grower Trade Show and Garden Plant Education Day. The conference is for anyone interested in starting or expanding a greenhouse business or for those involved in the horticultural industry, either as managers or as service providers, and for horticultural educators.

The conference will cover many important topics, and participants will learn how to develop a strategic marketing plan for starting and expanding a greenhouse business, how to improve greenhouse business management skills, how to access industry and Cornell resources and how other greenhouse businesses meet challenges and seize opportunities in the industry. A comprehensive workbook and proceedings will be developed for all conference participants.

Advance registration is $150 per person for the two-day event. After Oct. 25, registration will be $180 per person. Those attending for only one day can register in advance for $90; after Oct. 25, the one-day registration fee will be $100.
