Engineering alumni will gather on campus to discuss globalization

Cornell engineering alumni from all over the world will converge on Ithaca, April 20-21, for the 24th annual Cornell Engineering Alumni Association conference. The conference will focus on the impact on technology and business of a major social change: globalization.

The many speakers and panelists, nearly all Cornell alumni, represent companies with a global reach, from such Tompkins County enterprises as Kionix to such giants as Xerox and Pfizer, and will discuss their experience in marketing and conducting research overseas and working with overseas partners. A faculty panel and an address by Kent Fuchs, dean of the College of Engineering, will bring alumni up to date on Cornell research. Students will be offered networking opportunities through a poster session and a student-alumni luncheon.

The conference will take advantage of an overlap with the Entrepreneurship@Cornell celebration, April 19-20, to present an address by Cornell's Entrepreneur of the Year, Kevin McGovern '70, CEO and chairman of McGovern Capital LLC.

Advance registration is required. There is no registration fee for students and faculty, and the fee is reduced for alumni from the Class of '02 and more recent. For more information visit http://www.engineering.cornell.edu/alumni-parents-friends/ceaa/Engineering-Conference/.
