Tickets on sale for Nov. 1 Cornell Employee Celebration

Tickets are now on sale for the Annual Cornell Employee Celebration, Saturday, Nov. 1. The celebration features Cornell athletic events and a community dinner in Barton Hall, 3-5 p.m., with a choice of barbecued chicken or pasta Provencal, and such entertainment as the Cornell mascot and marching band, children's activities, hands-on displays and Crossroads the Clown.

More than 100 volunteers are needed to make the event a success. They can sign up to help with set up (1-3 p.m.), serving and coordinating the meal (3-5:30 p.m. with a break for dinner) or clean up (5-6:30 p.m.). Each volunteer receives a complimentary ticket. Many volunteers have said that becoming involved in this event has also made them feel more connected to the Cornell community. To volunteer, contact Cheryl McGraw at 255-7565 or crm54@cornell.edu.

Tickets, which are on sale until Oct. 24, can be purchased at the Athletic Department Ticket Office, Bartels Hall (M-F, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., CU ID required) or call 255-4247. Tickets for either the dinner or athletic events that charge admission are $3 each; $5 tickets include both the dinner and all the athletic events listed below.
