Cornell Police will offer a child safety seat inspection station at the Cornell Grounds Shop, 307 Palm Road, Nov. 19, 9 a.m.-noon. Trained child passenger safety seat technicians will be on site to provide instruction in the proper installation, use and maintenance of child safety seats. Families attending the event will receive a free child safety seat if the technician inspecting their child safety seat discovers the seat is on the federal recall list, has been involved in an accident or determines for some reason it should not be used.

Also on hand: a Cops, Kids and Toys box to collect any unwrapped holiday gifts and toys for children in need and a special appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog.
