eCornell wins awards for customer service

eCornell students and corporate customers gave eCornell such votes of confidence that the online professional and executive development education program won a 2012 Stevie Award for Sales and Customer Service.

More than 250,000 votes were cast worldwide earlier this year, with the highest number of votes deciding the winners in 11 categories. While other companies won in such categories as Retail, Computer Hardware, or Leisure and Tourism, eCornell was the winner in the category All Other Industries.

eCornell has also won the "Customer Service Department of the Year" category. Winners of 65 different judged award categories were revealed at a ceremony in Las Vegas, where online voting results revealed eCornell as the winner of the People's Choice Award for Favorite Customer Service. Voters included students, alumni and corporate customers who cast their ballots between Jan. 26 and Feb. 10.

eCornell, a Cornell-owned subsidiary, provides online education in the areas of leadership and management, human resources, financial management, health care, marketing and hospitality management. The company has delivered courses to more than 50,000 students in more 200 countries.
