Patsy Brannon reappointed to USDA advisory board

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced Dec. 9 the appointment of nine individuals to serve on the National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education and Economics (NAREEE) Advisory Board, including Patsy Brannon, professor in the Division of Nutritional Sciences, College of Human Ecology, where she served as dean from 1999 to 2004.

The NAREEE Advisory Board advises the secretary of agriculture and land-grant colleges and universities on top national priorities and policies for food and agricultural research, education, extension and economics. The advisory board’s main objective is to contribute to effective federal agricultural research, education and economics programs through broad stakeholder feedback and sound science in its role as adviser to the secretary.

Brannon’s three-year term will expire Sept. 30, 2018.
