Three doctoral students receive Fulbright-Hays fellowships

Cornell doctoral students researching China's Han Clothing Movement, population policies in China and Japan, and contemporary art and artists in urban South Vietnam and Cambodia have each received 2010 Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships.

The fellowships, for students planning to pursue a teaching career, are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education and provide support for six to 12 months of dissertation research in a foreign country. They are intended to increase U.S. understanding of the languages and cultures of non-European countries through the exchange of people, knowledge and skills.
