Assemblies Update, Week of April 9
The following are brief reports from the Student Assembly (SA), Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA), Employee Assembly (EA) and University Assembly (UA). For more information, visithttp://assembly.cornell.edu/.
Recruitment notice: The University Assembly seeks applications for service on University Hearing and Review Boards, which review allegations of misconduct raised under the Campus Code of Conduct. To apply, visit http://tinyurl.com/cr8ueo7. Applications must be received by 4 p.m., April 16.
Recent meetings:
- GPSA: April 9. Election of 2012-13 voting members; passage of a R14, resolution on updates to the the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly Finance Commission Funding Guidelines; and passage of R15, a resolution supporting the Calendar Committee Recommendation.
- UA: April 10. Voted to recommend Resolution 7, regarding Campus Code of Conduct Compliance with Title IX, which would transfer jurisdiction over Title IX offenses to procedures described in University Policy 6.4 in order to comply with the specifications of the April 4, 2011, "Dear Colleague" letter from the U.S. Department of Education.
- SA: April 12. Discussed proposed overhaul of the Student Assembly Finance Commission Funding Guidelines, introducing tiered system of funding caps based on spending patterns and other past performance criteria, eliminating many documentation requirements from funding application, and requiring organizations to budget on a per-semester rather than annual basis.

- SA: April 19, 4:45 p.m., G08 Uris Hall.
- GPSA: April 23, 5:30 p.m., Bache Auditorium, Malott Hall. Election of 2012-13 officers and committee chairs; approval of the GPSA annual report; and a panel on resources on professional development for graduate and professional students. Reception to follow at the Big Red Barn.
- UA: April 24, 4:30 p.m., 316 Day Hall. Appointment of University Hearing and Review Board members for 2012-13.
