Campus mourns student death

Oliver S. Schaufelberger, 20, a junior environmental science major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at his home in Lebanon, N.J. He was a Cornell Outdoor Education instructor and Outdoor Odyssey guide, an Arnot Forest Research Intern, an Environmental Science peer adviser, and an active member of the Cornell Outing Club and Kappa Delta Rho fraternity on campus.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Jan. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main St., in Lebanon.

A memorial service, to be coordinated with Schaufelberger's family and friends, will be held at a later date on campus.
