Fifth annual IT Forum combines fun and learning

Conspiracy theorists rejoice! There really are strange beings living among us, disguised as (almost) normal people. They will gather for their secret and arcane observances at the fifth annual Cornell Information Technology Forum, June 16.

The morning will be devoted to a "Millionaire"-style game show, "Survival of the Geekiest," 9-10:30 a.m. in Phillips Hall Auditorium. Teams will compete to answer "geek questions" about IT in general and Cornell IT in particular. Each member of the winning team will receive a Flip video camera. Second- and third-place prizes include iTunes gift cards and red Swingline staplers (as seen in the movie "Office Space").

Throughout the day, more than 30 IT-related Cornell groups and commercial vendors will maintain tables in the Duffield Atrium, and many will host 45-minute seminars on technical topics from 11 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. in Duffield and Upson halls. Register at http://itforum.cornell.edu. A schedule of events will be posted there June 1.
