Law School mourns death of student
Daniel Eduardo Ferrero, 26, a second-year student at Cornell Law School, was found dead in his Quarry Street apartment Dec. 12.
Ferrero, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was discovered by friends and the Ithaca Police Department when they entered his apartment Sunday evening. He died of natural causes.
"I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Daniel Ferrero, a talented and promising young member of the Cornell family," said President David Skorton. "On behalf of the entire community, I extend my most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and classmates. In this season of coming together with loved ones, our thoughts and memories are also with Daniel and others who are no longer with us; and we take comfort in the knowledge that they will not be forgotten."
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Anabel Taylor Hall's One World Room.
Ferrero is survived by his wife, Reyna Olivio, of Brooklyn; his parents, Yasmin Iacampo and Eduardo Ferrero, of Springfield, Va., and two sisters.
