Cornell trustees to meet in New York City Jan. 25 through 27

The Cornell University Board of Trustees will hold its first meeting of 1996 at the Cornell University Medical College in New York City Jan. 25 through 27.
The full board will meet in open session on Friday, Jan. 26, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Room A-126 of the Medical College's Harkness Medical Research Building, 1300 York Ave. Among topics of discussion will be federal and state fiscal outlook, tuition recommendations and reports on research funding, strategic planning and the Cornell Campaign.

The board's Executive Committee will meet in the same room at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25. During a brief open session, the committee will discuss revision of University Bylaws and the 1995-96 financial plan in-year forecast, among other items.
Other board committees also will have open sessions on Thursday:
- The Buildings and Properties Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in Room A-126 of the Harkness Building. Among items to be discussed at a brief open session will be the Bailey Hortorium, plant sciences greenhouse and conservatory.
- The Committee on Academic Affairs and Campus Life will meet at 4 p.m. in Room M-118, the Obstetrics/Gynecology Library, beginning with an open session to discuss the draft Middle States Association Periodic Review Report.
- The Audit Committee will have an open session at the beginning of its meeting at 6:30 p.m. in Whitney 117 in the New York Hospital. The committee's annual report will be reviewed.
On Friday:
- The Land Grant and Statutory College Affairs Committee will meet from noon to 1:45 p.m. in Whitney 117. Among items to be discussed at this open meeting are the 1996-97 SUNY budget, the federal and state financial climate, tuitions and an update on Cornell Cooperative Extension programs.
Tickets for the Board of Trustees meeting and the Executive Committee meeting may be obtained by the general public on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the Information and Referral Center in Day Hall, Ithaca.
